The annual release schedule of the flagship smartphone has become fairly standard in recent years . The Galaxy S2 was released in February and released in May 2011. The Galaxy S3 was revealed and released in May 2012. The Galaxy S4 shown off in March and released in April 2013. We hope to catch a first glimpse of the Galaxy S5 around March 2014 , with the likely release it about a month later.
It is possible that Samsung will try to push forward after disappointing sales S4. The idea is that the S5 owners will scan your eyes in order to unlock their smartphones. Still, this is Samsung we're talking about . We would not be surprised to see a fingerprint sensor of some kind. Samsung knows how to move fast on new technology. Of course , if the eye examination rumor has some truth to it and then fingerprints are out the window.
